Betty Travis, Ph.D., is a professor of mathematics at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Recognized as a UTSA Million Dollar Scholar, Dr. Travis has also been honored with the President’s Distinguished Achievement Award in Recognition of Excellence in University Service and the AMOCO Teaching Award at UTSA. Dr. Travis has served on numerous state and national committees and is a former president of the Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Alamo District Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
