About the Author

Dr. Preston Jones is an adjunct instructor of history and political science at John Brown University. Dr. Jones has taught courses in European, American, and world history at the secondary and university levels. He also teaches Latin. He has published over 200 articles in scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers. Dr. Jones coordinates the JBU Veterans Project, which gives military veterans with a personal link to the university, either directly or through family, the opportunity to share their experiences.
